Ideal for:

There are no specific entry requirements for the Highfield Level 2 Award In Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (RQF) qualification however learners are advised to have a minimum of level 1 literacy.

There is no specific age restriction for this qualification however centres must assess the suitability of learners on completing the course and ensure they are able to effectively perform CPR prior to registration.

Ideal for:

The Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

In order to register on to this qualification, learners are required to meet the following entry requirements:

There are no prerequisites for this qualification, although it is recommended that learners already hold a Level 2 Award in Food Safety Manufacturing or equivalent and have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy/English or equivalent.

Highfield - Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid

Ideal for:

The Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) qualification is designed for those learners wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to enable them to provide effective emergency paediatric first aid.

Learners will become familiar with the role of the paediatric first-aider and be able to assess and react appropriately to an emergency situation, such as a child or an infant who is unresponsive, has an airway obstruction, has breathing difficulties or is suffering from shock.

The qualification is valid for a period of 3 years, after which point learners will need to retake the course. In addition to this it is recommended that learners refresh their knowledge annually.

Learners are required to be 16 years of age prior to certification. It is also advised that learners have a minimum of level 1 in literacy to enable them to complete the assessment.
