The NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is suitable for Managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation.

Courses leading to this qualification should equip holders to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required. It is therefore also suitable for people moving into fire safety adviser roles.

No previous health and safety or fire safety knowledge is required although it should be noted that the assessment includes a requirement to write a short report.

The NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management is suitable for Managers, supervisors and employees throughout the world, who have responsibility for managing environment issues as part of their day to day duties.

The qualification focuses on environmental management systems and impact assessments.

NEBOSH research shows that around two thirds of health and safety management positions at work also feature responsibility for environmental management. It can therefore be useful combining one of our health and safety qualifications with the Environmental Certificate. The Certificate can also be a useful stepping stone towards achieving our professional level Environmental Diploma.

No previous environmental management knowledge is required but candidates should note the assessment includes a requirement to write a short report in English.

Managers, supervisors and employees throughout the world take the NEBOSH International General Certificate because it gives them the skills and know-how to fulfil their health and safety responsibilities in any country and in any kind of organisation.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma. No previous health and safety knowledge is required.

The NEBOSH International Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is for people throughout the world with fire safety responsibilities at work, particularly those tasked with carrying our fire risk assessments and preventing loss of life and property.

Crucially, the practical element of the course also ensures that participants can carry out, unaided, a fire risk assessment and prepare a recommendations report for management.

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management is for People from all around the world who work in process industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, plastics and pharmaceuticals.

Ideal for managers, safety representatives and health and safety advisors working within the process industries, both inside and outside the UK.

It is not designed for chemical and process safety engineers experienced in the specification, design and maintenance of process plant.

It is recommended that students should already have an underpinning knowledge of health and safety issues, and many will have gained another NEBOSH qualification.

Before attempting this assessment NEBOSH recommends that students should have achieved the equivalent of a scoring of 6.0 or higher under the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

This is a replacement qualification for the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.

NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) is ideal for:

The NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is the qualification for aspiring health and safety professionals building directly upon the foundation of knowledge provided by the NEBOSH International General Certificate. It is designed to provide students with the expertise - wherever in the world they may be working - required to undertake a career as a safety and health practitioner. It also provides a sound basis for progression to an MSc or more specialist study (such as the NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management).

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, though the achievement of the NEBOSH International General Certificate or direct equivalent prior to undertaking the Diploma course is highly recommended.

The standard of English required by students studying for the NEBOSH International Diploma must be such that they can both understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

The NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management is intended for safety professionals and managers who are taking on environmental responsibilities.

A background knowledge of health and safety is recommended.

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, prospective candidates should be aware this is a professional level qualification.- approximately equivalent to degree level.

Foundation knowledge of health and safety (eg, the NEBOSH National General Certificate) is advantageous but not essential.

The NEBOSH International Diploma in Environmental Management is designed for individuals with responsibilities for environmental management.

It provides specialist knowledge on issues such as environmental management systems, sustainability and pollution prevention and control.

It is invaluable for managers taking on environmental responsibilities and those aiming to develop and implement effective environmental management systems within their organisations.
