A half day training course that provides delegates with an all-round knowledge of what to do in the event of a fire, a clear understanding of the responsibilities and duties of a fire marshal and practical hands on experience of tackling a controlled fire with a fire extinguisher.

This course is designed for all members of staff. The aim of the course is to give staff a greater understanding of the fire risks in the workplace and be able to evacuate the premises effectively. Participants will learn about fire, the way in which it spreads and the best way to tackle a fire.

An understanding of fire safety risks and how to prevent them will be gained. Candidates will learn how to use fire extinguishers correctly during the course.

Covers the role of the designated fire marshal in the workplace. The course not only covers the relevant safety information required to become a fire marshal but it also provides information on the variety of different fire extinguishers available today.
