This Qualsafe Awards recognised qualification has been specifically designed to provide qualified paediatric first aiders with an opportunity to refresh their knowledge and practice key paediatric first aid skills every year until requalification training is required.

Throughout this 3 hour course, Learners will renew their confidence by practising essential paediatric first aid procedures, including: CPR, the recovery position, choking, external bleeding and more.

The Paediatric First Aid Annual Refresher (QAR) course is intended for qualified paediatric first aiders wishing to refresh their skills and knowledge.

This qualification contains 1 mandatory unit. Full details of this unit are in Appendix 1

Learners must complete all assessments to achieve this qualification.

Guided Learning Hours (GLH) is the time a Learner is being taught and assessed under the immediate guidance of a Trainer/Assessor, which for this qualification is 3 GLH (minimum).

5 x Practical assessments and continous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
