The CITB Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors qualification covers all relevant legislation and other issues affecting safety in the shopfitting and interior contracting industry.
It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of control measures and communication of health and safety, welfare and environmental issues.
The course will help you understand the legal, moral and social responsibilities of your role.
At the end of the course you will have an understanding of: shop fitting and interior contracting industry problem areas, health and safety law, structure safety management, structure in controlling site safety, risk assessments and method statements, site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings, proactive and reactive monitoring and monitoring on site.
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.

The course covers all relevant legislation and other issues that affect safe working in the shop fitting and interior contracting industry. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and communication of health and safety, welfare and environmental issues.
The course will also help site managers, supervisors, and foremen to develop a better understanding of the legal, moral and social responsibilities of their role and to supervise health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions.

There are no formal entry requirements however delegates should be or are about to be responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff and workforce.
The method of assessment will be by multiple-choice questions at the end of the course and through assessed exercises throughout the course
