The CITB Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors Refresher qualification This refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving you a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It builds on the material in the original course as well as introducing new subjects. At the end of the course you will be able to: implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your job role implement new guidance and industry best practice fulfil your responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment.

The CITB Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors Refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the full Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors (SSSIC) course and can provide proof of attendance. It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace.

The course includes a wide range of topics, many building on the previous full course programme as well as introducing new subjects

Risk assessment and method statements in Shopfitting and Interior Contracting

Construction Health, Safety and Welfare (CDM part 2)

Reporting of Accidents, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences (RIDDOR)

Overview and changes to the current legislation affecting shopfitting and interior contracting to include: Work at Height Regulations 2005, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health 2002, Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005

Fire on shopfitting and interior contracting sites including Fire Safety Order 2005

Site Waste Management Plans

The method of assessment will be multiple-choice questions at the end of the course.
