The QNUK Level 3 Award in Workplace Risk Assessment (RQF) qualification is those looking to develop the knowledge and skills to be able to undertake suitable and sufficient workplace risk assessments.

Candidates will be assessed on completing a workplace risk assessment and reporting on their findings.

Describe the provisions for risk assessment contained in key legislation.

Know how to use a range of fire controls

Describe what is meant by the term ‘risk assessment’.

Outline the necessary competencies of a risk assessor.

State sources of advice and information that can support the undertaking of a workplace risk assessments.

Describe the stages involved in a typical risk assessment.

Outline the requirements for recording, monitoring, reviewing and revising workplace risk assessments.

Complete a risk assessment of a work environment

Identify hazards in a work environment

Identify those that may be harmed by workplace hazards and how this harm may occur

Evaluate the level of risk created by workplace hazards

Suggest appropriate controls to reduce the risk of hazards in a workplace to an acceptable level

Record the findings of a risk assessment of a workplace.

This qualification is assessed by learners completing a multiple choice question paper and completing a risk assessment supported by a report on the findings and recommendations.

Learners must achieve a minimum of 70% to pass.

This qualification is available to those over 16 years. Candidates should be at least a level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent.
