What is the ITSSAR - Instructors Course course?

To train sufficiently experienced forklift and industrial truck operators in the techniques and methods necessary to deliver instruction and examination to equipment operators within their company or group

Suitable delegates should meet the standards necessary for registration and certification on the ITSSAR national register of Category 1 instructors, in accordance with the HSE Approved Code of Practice and supplementary guidance

Who is the ITSSAR - Instructors Course course designed for?

Become a qualified forklift truck instructor/examiner in 10 Days. On completion of the course you will understand the principles of forklift truck operation, safety and training. Extensive coverage includes roles of the instructor, learning methods, principles of instruction, lesson types and plans, classroom and training aids, along with assessments and reporting, skills testing and ongoing assessment.

**Each student must have had an operators certificate issued within 6 months.**

What subjects does the ITSSAR - Instructors Course course cover?

The forklift instructors course is based on instructing on a counterbalance forklift truck and a basic operator certificate is required (undertaken or refreshed within 6 months of the course start date – in-house certificates not acceptable), however if you currently hold a basic operator certificate for another machine, such as reach truck, you can undertake the counterbalance conversion course to meet the pre-requisite.
