Many private individuals also book on to this course as it is an excellent basic first aid course for the general public. It is a highly participative course with both tutorial and practical sessions.

This course does entail getting down onto the floor to do practical work

Upon completion of the course a certificate will be issued which is approved by the First Aid Industry Body which is valid for three years. HSE “STRONGLY RECOMMENDS” that an annual refresher training course is attended every year!

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)

Choking

Wounds and bleeding

Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment

Introduction to a defibrillator
