Is the CCNSG Safety Passport Course-The National Course course accredited by an official body?

Yes, this course is Accredited and certified by  :  Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB). This means that all training providers advertising their courses on this site must be an approved centre.
In most cases the awarding body (ECITB) will audit the centre to ensure the correct standard of teaching.

What is the ECITB - CCNSG Safety Passport Course-The National Course course?

The aim of the CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site safely, with lower risk to themselves and others.

The safety passport scheme is guided by the Client/Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG), a national steering group for the scheme. It is a formal sub-committee of the ECITB reporting to the ECITB through the ECITB Management Board.

The ECITB has operational responsibility for the formal management of the Safety Passport scheme whilst the committee’s focus is related to theongoing determination of the scheme’s content, standards for approval of Training Providers, future development of the scheme and integrity assurance.

The CCNSG Safety Passport expires after three years from the date of the National or Renewal course. You may come back for a one day Renewal course up to three months after the Safety Passport card has expired. Once the three months have lapsed, you will be required to sit the two day National course again

Who is the ECITB - CCNSG Safety Passport Course-The National Course course designed for?

The CCNSG National Course is a two day course for basic site safety. The CCNSG National Course is valid for three years from the date of the course.

This course is aimed at any personnel working on engineering construction work sites.

It gives delegates a grounding in all aspects of site safety and personal awareness.

To gain the CCNSG National Course award for the CCNSG Safety Passport, candidates are required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test paper at the end of the course
