The CPCS A59A course aims to provides candidate with thorough practical and theory training for operating a 360 degree Excavator (Tracked) in order to pass the CPCS Theory and Practical Tests.

The CPCS Excavator 360 Tracked Above 10 Tonnes A59A course certificate has 2 years validity.

It is recommended that you check with your course tutor for information on CPCS - Excavator 360 Tracked Above 10 Tonnes A59A refresher courses and their recommended frequency or the next step qualification.

This course is for people with limited or no experience of operating a 360 degree tracked excavator above 10 tonnes.

On passing the technical tests, the Training provider will apply for the CPCS trained operator card (red card) on your behalf.
Mandatory entry requirements

CITB health, safety and environment test passed no more than two years before the course start date.

Good understanding of spoken and written English.

Operate the excavator 360° tracked safely and productively

Fit and operate ancillary equipment

Site the machine safely and efficiently

Carry out minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures

Understand the capabilities, purposes and limitations of each machine

Follow all necessary safety precautions

Interpret the information provided by level pegs and profiles

Be aware of the necessary routine adjustments and service procedures, and carry them out

Work to levels with the aid of laser equipment.

8 days learning through a mix of classroom-based teaching and practical exercises
