The CPS Excavator 180 Wheeled A10 and A12 course teaches safe operation and maintenance of 180 degrees wheeled and tracked excavators. A10 provides training for excavators below 5 tonnes. A12 provides training for excavators above 5 tonnes.

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training.

Completing the course successfully will entitle you to a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (upon successful completion of the appropriate CPCS Technical Test).

The CPCS Excavator 180 Wheeled A10 and A12 course certificate has 2 years validity.

The CPS Excavator 180 Wheeled A10 and A12 course is for people with limited or no experience of using 180 degree wheeled excavators. You will learn to operate and maintain machines above and below 5 tonnes.

Site the machine safely and efficiently

Carry out minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures

Prepare the machine for travelling on the public highway

Understand the capabilities, purposes and limitations of each machine

Follow all necessary safety precautions

Interpret the information provided by level pegs and profiles

Be aware of the necessary routine adjustments and service procedures, and carry them out

Work to levels with the aid of laser equipment
