What is the City-and-Guilds - 18th Edition Update course?

The aim of the 18th Edition Update Course is to update your existing knowledge of the Wiring Regulations and inform you of the changes made from the 17th Edition Amendment 3 to the 18th Edition. This 18th Edition qualification will be essential if you want to join a Government Approved Part P Scheme Provider. Every installation from January 2019 will need to be designed in line with the 18th Edition wiring regulations. As this is an open book exam, you will need to ensure that you have a copy of the up to date IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS7671 2018.

Who is the City-and-Guilds - 18th Edition Update course designed for?

If you have passed your 17th edition (C&G 2382-15) since the last amendment was published then you can take this shorter 1 day 18th edition update course.

Please be aware that there is no ‘short exam’ to update your 17th Edition to 18th Edition - you will still be required to sit the full 60 question, 2 hour exam.

The exam for the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course will be completed online. You will have 120 minutes to answer 60 multiple choice questions. You can take your Wiring Regulations book into the exam with you for reference.
