DVSA - Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency

DVSA is an executive agency, sponsored by the Department for Transport.

Beginners Level Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency - (DVSA) Qualifications.

DVSA - Module 1 - CPC Link Core and Drivers Hours Tachographs Training.

Ideal for:

This periodic training is aimed at drivers, who have acquired a licence and have to undertake 35 hours of training every 5 years to ensure their Driver CPC is current and they hold a Drivers Qualification Card (DQC).

DVSA - Module 2 - CPC Individual Performance Loads and Fire Awareness.

Ideal for:

This course is suitable for large goods vehicle drivers and light commercial vehicle drivers

DVSA - Module 3 - CPC Highways England Smart Motorway.

Ideal for:

This course is suitable for category "C" & “D” licence holders. This course is suitable for large goods vehicle drivers and light commercial vehicle drivers.

DVSA - Module 4 - CPC Vehicle Banksman and Manual Handling.

Ideal for:

This periodic training is aimed at all existing bus, coach and lorry drivers, who have acquired a licence and have to undertake 35 hours of training every 5 years to ensure their Driver CPC is current and they hold a Drivers Qualification Card (DQC).

DVSA - Module 5 - CPC Emergency First Aid at Work.

Ideal for:

This periodic training is aimed at all existing bus, coach and lorry drivers, who have acquired a licence and have to undertake 35 hours of training every 5 years to ensure their Driver CPC is current and they hold a Drivers Qualification Card (DQC).

DVSA - CPC Driver 5 day Periodic Training Course.

Ideal for:

This periodic training is aimed at drivers, who have acquired a licence and have to undertake 35 hours of training every 5 years to ensure their Driver CPC is current and they hold a Drivers Qualification Card (DQC).

DVSA - Class 2 Cat C.

Ideal for:

There are several steps that need to be completed to gain your licence. Firstly you need to get the provisional category C added to your licence, this requires forms D2 and D4 being completed. Form D2 is to have the provisional added and D4 is the medical form and must be completed by a doctor. Once you have added the provisional you then need to pass the Multiple Choice and Hazard Perception theory tests before you can take the practical driving course and test. Depending on your age, when you passed your car test and the reason for gaining the licence you may have to complete either Periodic (35 Hours) or Initial (Modules 2 and 4) CPC

To obtain this HGV licence, you must already have a Cat C licence.
