EUSR - Safety Health and Environmental Awareness.

Ideal for:

The core Safety Health and Environmental Awareness scheme is designed for all individuals who require access to operational sites, both permanent and temporary, including all levels of operatives, supervisors and management. A SHEA Core card lasts for three years from the date of training.

EUSR - Safety Health and Environmental Awareness Water.

Ideal for:

The Safety Health and Environmental Awareness Water scheme is designed for all individuals involved in the operational activities of the water industry who require access to sites, both permanent and temporary, including all levels of operatives, supervisors and management. A SHEA Water card lasts for three years from the date of training.

EUSR - Safety Health and Environmental Awareness Telecommunications.

Ideal for:

The telecommunications scheme is designed for all individuals involved in the operational activities of the telecommunications industry who require access to sites, both permanent and temporary, including all levels of operatives, supervisors and management. A SHEA Telecommunications card lasts for three years from the date of training.

SHEA Telecommunications comprises of seven modules. The six core modules are common to all utility industries and form the basis of health, safety and environmental law and practices. A further one module providing the telecommunications industry specific content, all individuals will need to complete all seven modules to receive the SHEA Telecommunications registration. It is designed to provide evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.

Highfield - Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF).

Ideal for:

The Highfield Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF) qualification is designed to provide learners with knowledge of the basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace.

Highfield - Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF).

Ideal for:

The Highfield Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF) qualification is aimed at learners who are starting or returning to work or who need specific training in manual handling. It is also suitable for refresher training.

Highfield - Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF).

Ideal for:

The course is aimed at supervisors, managers, team leaders as well as individuals wishing to advance their health and safety knowledge. The qualification is intended for learners already working in the capacity of supervisor, manager or team leader and also those who are preparing to start work at this level.

To register for this qualification, learners are required to be 16 years of age or above.

Highfield - Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF).

Ideal for:

This qualification is aimed at supervisors and managers with a direct responsibility for health and safety management.

The qualification is intended for learners already working in the capacity of supervisor or manager and those who are preparing to start work at this level.

To register for this qualification, learners are required to be 16 years of age or above.

It is recommended that learners already possess a Level 3 Health and Safety qualification and It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or equivalent.

Highfield - Level 1 Award in the Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace.

Ideal for:

This qualification is designed for those learners either currently working or those returning or starting work and wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in health and safety.

The objective of the qualification is to:

  • prepare learners to progress into further/higher level training.

The qualification provides learners with an understanding of the main responsibilities of employees and employers with regards to health and safety. It also provides an understanding of how the workplace can affect health and safety.

Highfield - Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within Health and Social Care Settings.

Ideal for:

The objective of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace.

This qualification is designed for those learners who currently or who wish to work in a health and social care setting and will provide them with the knowledge of basic health and safety practices essential in a health and social care environment.

The qualification provides learners with: an understanding of the roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare; an understanding of the process of risk assessment and how they improve health and safety at work; knowledge of procedures for responding to accidents, near misses and ill-health and knowledge of how to control the risks of infection.

IIRSM - Lone Worker.

Ideal for:

The number of people working alone is increasing. As technology advances and budgets are cut, more and more organsations are employing lone workersAs well as those who work alone for the majority of their working time, there is a greater number of people who work alone part of the time. According the the HSELone working staff are defined as someone who "works by themselves without close or direct supervision" and can include home visiting, travelling, working from home or working in a building or office alone.Effective Lone Worker Training is vital to reduce the risk of violence at work and to fulfil your duty of care to staff.
IOSH - Working Safely.

Ideal for:

IOSH Working safely is a one-day course for people at any level, in any sector, that need a grounding in health and safety.

IOSH - Managing Safely Refresher.

Ideal for:

The one-day IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course is for delegates who have already completed the full IOSH Managing Safely course. Delegates get to refresh their knowledge on the key parts of the full Managing Safely course by relating them to a plan-do-check-act safety and health management system, with leadership at the heart of it all.

IOSH - Managing Safely in the Exhibition and Event Industry training course.

Ideal for:

The IOSH - Managing Safely in the Exhibition and Event Industry training course course acts as a wonderful foundation from which to progress to the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) National General Certificate.

On conclusion of the course delegates will have improved knowledge and understanding of health and safety management, and will be able to manage their organisational health and safety issues in a more proactive and practical way.

IOSH - Workplace Behavioural Safety.

Ideal for:

Upon completion of the IOSH Workplace Behavioural Safety course, delegates should have a better awareness of the influences that affect our decision making. They should be able to recognise the point at which they are beginning to make unsafe decisions potentially stop and make better decisions more often. They should have a better awareness of their, and management responsibilities under the HASAWA 1974 and be able to make better informed decisions with the aid of their “New Tools”.

IPAF - Harness Use and Inspection.

Ideal for:

The IPAF - Harness Use and Inspection course instructs a user to select, inspect and use a harness and associated equipment safely when using a MEWP.

IPAF - Static Boom 1b - Operator.

Ideal for:

The IPAF - Static Boom 1b - Operator course is for those who use, supervise or manage the use of powered access, including scissor lifts, self-propelled boom lifts, trailer mounted boom lifts and aerial work platforms. Those who need to use two categories of powered access equipment should attend the Dual Category course.

IPAF - Push Around Vertical (PAV) - Operator.

Ideal for:

The IPAF - Push Around Vertical (PAV) - Operator course is aimed at personnel who are or will be responsible for using Push Around Vertical Platform (PAVs) MEWPs in the workplace. There are no prerequisite required for this course although a working knowledge of MEWPs is an advantage

IPAF - Mobile Vertical 3a - Operator.

Ideal for:

The IPAF - Mobile Vertical 3a - Operator course is for those who use, supervise or manage the use of powered access, including scissor lifts, self-propelled boom lifts, trailer mounted boom lifts and aerial work platforms. IPAF - Scissor Lift Mobile and Static Boom 1b-3a-3b - Operator.

Ideal for:

The IPAF - Scissor Lift Mobile and Static Boom 1b+3a+3b - Operator is for personnel who will be responsible for the safe use of vertical lifts would benefit from attending the IPAF 3a Scissor Lift , 3B Mobile Boom and 1B Static Boom Operator training course

Lantra - Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.

Ideal for:

This qualification is for you if you work in - or will be working in - a construction or fencing environment.
NCRQ - Managing Safely.

Ideal for:

This qualification is aimed at managers and supervisors in any sector. It is designed to give those with no knowledge or experience of health and safety the awareness needed to manage their teams and operations in a safe way. Those who have some previous knowledge will also be challenged.

NEBOSH - Health, Safety and Environment in the Process Industries Qualification.

Ideal for:

The NEBOSH Health, Safety and Environment in the Process Industries qualification</span> is an introductory qualification is aimed at anyone who needs to understand the principles of health and safety as part of their job within the process industries.

NEBOSH - National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work .

Ideal for:

The NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work qualification is suitable for General managers, supervisors, health and safety and HR personnel who have responsibility for, or involvement in, the health and well-being of employees as part of their day-to-day duties.

Organisations may wish to use it as part of their health and well-being strategy to complement their existing occupational health staff.

Ideal for:

The PASMA - Towers for Users course is for personnel who will be responsible for the assembly, dismantling, alteration, moving and inspecting of mobile access towers.

PASMA - Towers for Managers.

Ideal for:

The PASMA - Towers for Managers course is for any person who has responsibility for overseeing the work of operatives on site ensuring that work is properly planned and organised and that those involved in carrying out the work are competent and properly trained, and that towers are correctly inspected and maintained.

PASMA - Low Level Access.

Ideal for:

The PASMA - Low Level Access half day course is intended for users of low level access equipment (< 2.5m) made from prefabricated tower components, such as folding step units and folding tower units. The course gives an overview of regulations, legislation and product standards and covers current best practice, inspection of low level access units and hazards to be avoided in depth.

PASMA - Combined Low Level Access and Towers for Users.

Ideal for:

The PASMA Combined Tower and Low Level Access Course is suitable for anyone in an organisation who assembles, alters, dismantles, moves, inspects and most importantly USES alloy or fibreglass mobile access towers, low level access units or podiums in the workplace. This not only includes construction sites but all workplaces, such as schools, offices and factories both internally and externally. Qualitative face fit testing is only suitable for disposable half masks and reusable half mask respirators. Full mask respirators cannot be tested using this method they have to be tested by the quantitative method

This Harness Use and Inspection course aims to provide delegates with an awareness of the risks associated with the use of harnesses and lanyards, safe use and checks to be undertaken.

Unaccredited - Asbestos Awareness.

Ideal for:

Asbestos training is a legal requirement under the Control Of Asbestos Regulations. This requirement is for the self-employed and employees. Asbestos training is required for all levels of organisations which includes directors, managers and other personnel dependent upon their job role

Unaccredited - Traffic Banksman - Vehicle Marshalling.

Ideal for:

This course is designed for candidates who have the responsibility for ensuring the safe movement of vehicles on & off-site.

Unaccredited - Principles of COSHH.

Ideal for:

This qualification is for candidates entering an environment where they are going to come into contact and use low level chemicals, such as Housekeeping, Cleaning and Healthcare.

The aim of this course is to make candidates aware of the hazards associated with chemicals and making candidates aware of the consequences of incorrect use of chemicals.

Unaccredited - PAT Portable Appliance Testing Training Course.

City and Guilds - Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (3654-03).

Ideal for:

There are no formal entry requirements for the NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice; however candidates must be in a role that allows them to collect evidence which meets the requirements of City & Guilds.

This level is ideal if your job involves health and safety and you have experience of developing and applying policy and procedures within your organisation.

ISO - 45001 Internal Auditor Course.

NEBOSH - National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.

NEBOSH - International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.

The NEBOSH International Construction Certificate is designed for supervisors and managers within the international construction industry and is designed to provide a sound breadth of underpinning knowledge that enables them to discharge more effectively their duties with respect to health and safety in construction activities.

NEBOSH - HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management.

Ideal for:

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management is for People from all around the world who work in process industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, plastics and pharmaceuticals.

Ideal for managers, safety representatives and health and safety advisors working within the process industries, both inside and outside the UK.

It is not designed for chemical and process safety engineers experienced in the specification, design and maintenance of process plant.

It is recommended that students should already have an underpinning knowledge of health and safety issues, and many will have gained another NEBOSH qualification.

Before attempting this assessment NEBOSH recommends that students should have achieved the equivalent of a scoring of 6.0 or higher under the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

City and Guilds - Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (3654-06).

Ideal for:

The City and Guilds NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice qualification is for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in managing health and safety for the workplace.

They will have an autonomous role in their organisation for managing health and safety policy and practice.

They will report direct to or be part of the senior management team.

They will recommend and implement changes relevant to their role.

They will be aware of cost implications and budgetary control.

As the NVQ Diploma Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is work-based, and involves the collection of evidence from your normal day-to-day activities, candidates must be in a job role that allows them to collect and provide this. This will probably be individuals who have already acquired some experience, and candidates must be in a health and safety managerial position, where they are able to influence the policy and practice of their organisation.

IPAF - PAL Plus Training Course.

Ideal for:

If you need to work at height and use access equipment:

  • IPAF believes that you should receive basic training.
  • In addition to your main job, e.g. electrician, painter, decorator, cleaner, you will acquire a new skill.
  • Platforms are designed to be easy to use and offer a safe way to work at height, but with basic training, you will use the equipment more effectively and safely.

If you are an employer:

  • You can be sure that legal requirements have been fulfilled if your platform operators have the PAL Card.
  • Most legislation, covering health and safety obligations, accident prevention and work at height regulations, require you to provide employees with proper and adequate training in the use of work equipment.
  • IPAF training to the highest standards means that your platform operators will also work more efficiently and productively.
IPAF - Instructors.

Ideal for:

In order to deliver IPAF training courses, you need to be employed by an IPAF training centre or become a registered IPAF independent instructor member.

This course trains and assesses an instructor to understand the delivery of the IPAF training programme, and assesses knowledge on machines and ability to convey information to candidates.

NEBOSH - National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is the qualification for aspiring health and safety professionals, building directly upon the foundation of knowledge provided by the NEBOSH National General Certificate. It is designed to provide students with the expertise required to undertake a career as a safety and health practitioner and also provides a sound basis for progression to postgraduate study.

NEBOSH - International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Ideal for:

The NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is the qualification for aspiring health and safety professionals building directly upon the foundation of knowledge provided by the NEBOSH International General Certificate. It is designed to provide students with the expertise - wherever in the world they may be working - required to undertake a career as a safety and health practitioner. It also provides a sound basis for progression to an MSc or more specialist study (such as the NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management).

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, though the achievement of the NEBOSH International General Certificate or direct equivalent prior to undertaking the Diploma course is highly recommended.

The standard of English required by students studying for the NEBOSH International Diploma must be such that they can both understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

PASMA - Towers on Stairs.

Ideal for:

You must hold a current Towers for Users PhotoCard and have a good working knowledge of working at height
PASMA - Towers with Cantilevers.

Ideal for:

Anyone who is experienced in using towers and is to be given responsibility for the assembly, dismantling, alteration, moving and inspection and use of mobile access towers with cantilevers in a standard configuration.

Given the more complex concepts involved, this course will be a fresh challenge to delegates and in order to be eligible, delegates must have already passed PASMAsTowers for Users course.
