The QNUK Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support (Adults and Children) (RQF) qualification is aimed those looking to learn basic life support. This may be for the purpose of personal achievement, however may also support a role in a workplace - for example, clinical and non-clinical staff working in a GP or Dentist practice.
This qualification has the purpose of supporting a role in the workplace.

Demonstrate how to administer first aid to a choking casualty who is:
an adult
a child
an infant
Candidates are assessed for this qualification using the following methods:
Practical observation
Candidates are required to demonstrate capabilities in performing Basic life Support as they would in an emergency situation, therefore, candidates will need to be able to work on the floor - for example, as with CPR.
This qualification is available to those over 16 years. Candidates should be at least a level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent
